Catharina Polak was a daughter of Aaron Polak and Sippora Zendijk. She married Mozes van Gelderen from Kampen on 16 November 1892 in Zwolle and they had in total ten children. Their son Andries survived the Holocaust and Meijer died in childhood. The othe children were Aaron, Sippora. Roosje, Duifje, Mietje, Joseph, Leon en Gabriël.
