Rebecca Vierra was a daughter of Isaac Vierra and Klaartje Kalkoene. She was born in a family of ten children, among them she herself and of whom her babysister Elisabeth has died only 2 months old. Her brother Leman (married to Helena Poak) passed away before 1940. All other siblings, David, Marianne, Israel, Willem, Rachel, Naatje en Lena have died during the Holocaust.
Rebecca married in Amsterdam on 21 April 1915 to Samuel Maandag, son of Abraham Maandag and Judith Cohen.
