Sander Lootsteen was a son of Mozes Lootsteen and Katje Jas. He married on 10 June 1903 in Amsterdam to Schoontje Wennik, daughter of Gerrit Wennik and Catharina Brander. The couple had five children: Gerrit, Mozes, Louis, Clara and a baby who died only one week old.
Sander was born in a family with in total nine children: he self, Esther, Mietje, Abraham, Betje and Aaltje.
They all have been killed during the Holocaust.
There were also two brothers, who have been deceased before the war and one sister, of whom since 1934 until now, nothing is known.
