Rebecca de Rooy (de Rooij) was a daughter of Mozes de Rooij and Sara Boeken, a family with eleven children, among them : Keetje, Abraham, Betje (who passed already in 1908), Jacob, Hartog, Esther, Samson, Pinehas, Coenraad, who survived the Holocaust, Rachel and Rebecca herself.
Rebecca married in Zaandam on 7 June 1898 to Benjamin van Thijn, son of Salomon van Thijn and Barabara Berg, but from who she has been divorced on 8 September 1926, also in Zaandam.
Rebecca and Benjamin had three children: Elisabeth and Sara, who both have survived the Holocaust and Mozes.
