Jacob Barend was the son of Levie Barend and Mietje Kolm. He was a shoemaker and lived at 94 Wagenaarstraat in Amsterdam. He got married in 1935 and had three children. On 14 October 1943 Jacob Barend was killed while at the Kommando Venlo on the Schaapsdijkweg in Venlo.
