Walter Griesbach was a member of the board of cinema Alhambra in Amsterdam in the thirties. In 1936 he was also co-founder and member of the board of Ambio N.V. (Amsterdamse Bioscoop Onderneming).
In October 1942 Walter Griesbach and his wife took their own lives under pressure of the circumstances. They are buried on the Jewish cemetery in Diemen.
