Meijer Wallega was a son of Izaak Wallega and Henriette Arends. He married in Weesp on 4 December 1912 to Rozette Schnitseler, daughter of Henri Schnitseler and Esther Hillesum.
The couple had three children: Izaak, Henri (who survived the Holocaust), and Henriette.
