Louis Swart was the sixth of the seven children of Salomon Swart and Grietje Deutz. Louis Swart was a clothes presser. He married Elisabeth Groen, daughter of the broom maker Samuel Groen and Gesina Vuijsje, on 3 June 1942. The couple had no children.
