Isaac Groenteman was a son of Machiel Groenteman and Helena van Dal. He got married to Abigaël Vleeskruijer, a daughter of Israel Barend Vleeskruijer and Esther Blanes. The couple had three children. In 1942 Isaac Groenteman died of a heart attack. The three children, of whom two resided at another address, survived the war.
