About Betje Braadbaart-de Goeije

Betje de Goeije was a daughter of Abraham de Goeije and Veronika van der Meusen. Aged 20, she maried the 17 year old Jacob Braadbaart on 2 May 1883 in Dordrecht, a son of Philip Nathan Braadbaart and Saartje Witsteijn. Her husband passed away on 24 August 1935 in Dordrecht and since January 1939, Betje lived in at the address of her son-in-law Eliazer Englander in Amsterdam, who was married to her daughter Veronika Braadbaart..
Beside this daughter, Betje had a son, Philip Jacob Braadbaart, who was married to Kaatje Breemer and a son who survived the war.
From this son, Betje de Goeije had three grandchildren. Two of these grandchildren survived the war but granddaughter Betje Braadbaart, married to Daniel Mozes, has been killed during the Shoah.
