Before he married Duifje de Jong, Salomon Kloots was married to her older sister, Hendrina de Jong. She died around 1921 and Salomon married her sister. Salomon Kloots and Duifje de Jong had one child, Emmanuel Kloots. With Hendrina de Jong, Salomon had three additional children: Esther Wilhelmina, Mauritius and one child that survived the war.
