Gompel de Levie and his family

In 1900 Gompel de Levie came from Dedemsvaart to Ommen where he opened a boutcher shop. He was married to Eva Leman. The couple had six children: Hartog, Abram, Betje, Jacob, Rachel en Bertha. None of the children survived the war.
Gompel de Levie had been chairman of the local Jewish community for several years.
