Meijer Zaligman and Rika van Zand married on 30 June 1890. The ceremony took place in Oude Pekela. The couple had at least four children, of which one daughter died before the war. Of the remaining three children, Salomon Zaligman and Rebekka Zaligman didn't survive the war.
