Sara Cohen-Sousman and her family

Sara Cohen-Sousman was a widow. Her husband Jacob Cohen died in 1913. From their marriage at least the following children were born: Gertruij, Simon, Joseph, Cientje, David, Benjamin, Marjana, Isidoor, Betsij, Julia and one child of whom it is not certain whether it survived the war. In 1939, her sister and brother-in-law, who fled Germany, moved in with her.

Sara Sousman had two children who survived the war. One of those children had a twin brother or sister who died at a very young age.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 32170) on this household is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 1960/10783).
