Johanna Berklou was first marrie to Jacob Emmerik. From this marriage two children were born: Levie and Joseph. After Jacob Emmerik had died, Johanna Berklou married Johannes Christiian Kruis. Three more children were born from this marriage.
Johannes Christiaan Kruis died in December 1941. His children survived the war.
