Sally Strausz was the son of Joseph Straus and Sara Hertz. He got married to Dina Hamme, daughter of Joel Hamme and Johanna Menk, in The Hague in 1918. The couple had three children: Sara, Julius Joseph and Benjamin. Julius was good at the violin. Sally Strausz was one of the directors of the 's Heerenbergsche Bank.
