Isaäc Blits and his family

On 5 January 1937, Isaäc Blits was punched in the face by a member of the NSB while standing in line for unemployment stamps on Tweede Boerhaavestraat, because he had made fun of the NSB’s chances of being elected. He was arrested at Amstel Station on 2 September 1942 on his way to Utrecht, for not wearing a star and not having a travel permit.
