Joseph van Sister and his family

Joseph van Sister and his wife Flora van Moppes had nine children. For a time also grandparents lived with the Van Sister family in the house. Joseph van Sister was blind so that the family was not very well off.
Four small children of the couple were transferred to the Berg-stichting in Laren. They saw the opportunity to go into hiding before the institution moved to Amsterdam. Three of the hidden children of Joseph van Sister and Flora van Moppes have survived the war. Schoontje van Sister, another daughter of the couple, has lived for some time in Huize Dina in Santpoort.

We have been unable to determine whether one or more members of this family survived the war. While their names do not appear on the lists of survivors, we have not been able to trace them in In Memoriam either. They are therefore labeled as 'surviving' and their names are not listed.
