Herman Calff and his family

Herman Calff appears on a handwritten list of all persons who held offices in the Dutch-Jewish community of Haarlem during the early years of the war.
He was a member of the congregation council of the Dutch-Jewish Community of Haarlem and of the general board of the Dutch-Jewish Joles Hospital. Photographs remain of each official.
Herman Calff was married. He and his wife lived at 104 Kinderhuissingel in Haarlem.

In addition, a Jokos file (number 1093) on this family is at the Amsterdam Municipal Archive. Access is subject to authorization from the Stichting Joods Maatschappelijk Werk.The Jokos file reveals that a claim was lodged for compensation for valuables surrendered to the Lippmann-Rosenthal looting bank (L-claim, number 1647/13188).
