David Spanjar and his family

David and Henri Spanjar were brothers. Their father had started the bakery on the Praubstraat in 1884. He passed away in 1916. His widow continued the bakery, until their sons David and Henri became the owners on 1 January 1932. In accordance with § 7 VO 48/1941 (Nazi regulation to remove Jews from the trade and industry) the company was liquidated in February 1943 and dissolved on 12 May 1944.
