Juda Meljado, son of the merchant Aron Meljado and Lena Nathan, was married to Roosje Achttienribben. From this marriage two children were born: Aron Juda and Salomon. Following his divorce in 1920, Juda married Saartje Tas, the second of the eight children of Isaac Tas and Betje Swart, on 10 December 1924. The couple had a son, Isaac Juda Meljado. The last address of the family was 31 Retiefstraat, ground floor, in Amsterdam. Saartje Meljado-Tas peddled novelties on the Ten Katestraat market.
