Hartog Koperberg was the son of Leon Koperberg and Marianne Ricardo. He was first married to Sophia de Beer. They later got divorced. In October 1940 Hartog Koperberg married Rosette Jas. Her son from a previous marriage, Hans Jas, was taken into the family.
