Eljakim Ricardo studied medicine in Amsterdam, where he sat for his medical finals on 29 March 1939. Eljakim Ricardo lived and practised medicine as a family doctor at 53 Van der Waalsstraat in Amsterdam. He was married. His wife survived the war.
