Louis Cohen was the son of Abraham Cohen and Saartje de Vries. He got married to Alijda van Coevorden on March 13, 1910 in Groningen. She was the daughter of Mozes van Coevorden and Wilhelmina de Jonge. Louis and Alijda had four children. Mozes, Wilhelmina and Saartje all died before the war.
