Benjamin Philips got married on 24 January 1916 to Martha Boas. The family moved from 's-Hertogenbosch to Vught where they lived at the Dijk van Maurick 13.
The familymembers surrendered their bicycle. On 19 August 1941 Benjamin Philips surrendered a Philips radio type 796 and a Philips autoradio type 260.

Fanny Philips writes in a letter to Ans Schreurs that some Germans had requisitioned her parental home of Muiserick in Vught. The last sign of life from the Philips family is the postcard that Fanny sent from Camp Westerbork on 25 June 1943. Immediately after their arrival in Auschwitz, on 17 September 1943, father and mother Philips and their daughters Heleen and Fanny were murdered. The son, Hans, died four months later.

After they had been forced out of their house the family moved to Taalstraat 24 in Vught.
