Albert Ettlinger became a surgeon in Frankfurt am Main in 1890. In World War I he served as 'Oberstabartz'. He ran the Jewish Community in Frankfurt and belonged to the association of liberal Jewry. Albert Ettlinger arrived in the Netherlands in 1938. He was married to Hedwig Uhlfelder.
