Hartog Platvoet and Betje Polak married in Amsterdam on 22 May 1918. They had six children. Their daughter Vrouwtje Platvoet, born in 1920 died at a young age in 1925. Of the remaining five descendants, one survived the war.
Hartog Platvoet and his family lived in Amsterdam at 14-I Valkenburgerstraat and 103-I Rapensteeg. They moved to the Galileistraat in Hilversum on March 4 1933.
