About Rosette de Leeuw-Behrman and her family.

Rosette Behrman was a daughter of Chiel Idel Behrman and Kaatje Leisen. She married Sally Boers on 19 September 1928 in Amsterdam, a son of Philip Boers and Eva Goslinksi. Rosette and Sally had two daughters together: Henriette Betsy Evaleni and Annie.  Rosette however divorced Sally Boers on 19 February 1935 and five years later, she married the 2nd time in Amsterdam on 3 July 1940 the widower of Rosette Beber (passed away 22 March 1940), Philip de Leeuw. He had a son from his first marriage, who died in 1934, 17 years old.

Rosette Behrman has been killed in Sobibor in 23 July 1943, together with both her children. Also Philip de Leeuw was killed there at the same date. Rosette’s first spouse has survived the Holocaust.

Rosette self was born into a family with six children. One of her sisters died in 1893, only 6 months old. Her youngest brother Abraham Pinach left Amsterdam for London in April 1924. Nothing further is known of  him. Rosette’s brother Elkan and sisters Jeannetta and Francina have been killed in the Shoah too.
