After the Kristallnacht Salomon Pfeiffer and his wife Sophie Kahn and Heiman Lewin Weijl fled from Düsseldorf to the family of their children in Amsterdam. The husband of the family fled in 1940 to England and survived the war. The spouse and a child survived the camps. Another child survived by going into hiding.
