My father was friends with Paul De Groot, Betsy de Groot - Kan's son. Benjamin de Groot drew a picture of a kitten for my father whilst under house arrest in 1941. I will email you a scan of this image. My grandparents were good friends with the de Groot family in Groningen.
I am writing in English as my dutch writing skills are not perfect, yet I speak dutch fluently.
