Günther came to the Netherlands on January 4th, 1939 with a Kindertransport. First he stayed in the Dommelhuis in Eindhoven, from where he went to Wieringen in February 1940.
His parents were living in Dortmund, Leopoldstr. 34. They wanted to emigrate to the US. But according to the Gedenkbuch they both perished. His mother's name was Helene Jonassohn, born in 1899 in Lünen, his father was Friedrich, born in 1898 in Dortmund.
