According to my grandmother's notes and those of another relative, (http://gen.scatteredmind.co.uk/show_person/591) Albert was a brother of Richard Gassmann (http://www.joodsmonument.nl/person/491109) who was also deported from Amsterdam, and had another son who probably survived the war.
