IG Farben cooperated closely with the Nazi Party during the Second World War. This company used forced labourers on a large scale, some of them in Auschwitz. Its subsidiary Degesch manufactured the pesticide Zyklon B, which was used as a poison in the gas chambers of the death camps. Over two million people, primarily Jews, but also gypsies (Roma and Sinti) were killed in this way.
