Abraham Leman, usually called Bram, born in 1905 in Dedemsvaart, municipality Avereest,  as the fifth child of Mozes Leman and Hendrika Tof, married 25 November 1937 in Velsen Annette Henriët Kroonenberg, born in Velsen in 1907, usually called Annie and a daughter of Meijer Kroonenberg and Johanna Blazer. Abraham Leman founded the football club D.V.C. (Dedemsvaartse Voetbal Club)on 21 July 1929 with a number of youngsters from Dedemsvaart. The first team of D.V.C. became champion of her department in the first season of her existence. On the occasion of winning this championship in the year 1930, a photo of this team was made. Abraham Leman has played for years in this club.
