Abraham is een zoon van Levie Jonas Moffie en Judic Waas. Hij trouwde maart 1897 met Sarah Sealtiel (Londen, 7 okt 1877).

Abraham Moffie and Sarah Sealtiel had nine children. Two of them, Isaac and Rachel, died young. The other children were Margaretha, Mozes, Heintje, Keetje, Martha, Rika and Louis. Branca was a granddaughter. She was the daughter of Margaretha who died before the war.
