Salomon Kesner was a baker’s assistant. He married Sophia Mendels in London on 29 March 1903. After her death, in 1939, Salomon Kesner married Sophia van Praag. Five children were born of the first marriage, of whom Betsy, Jacob, Emmanuel and Herman died in the war.
