Louis Cohen and Zoetine Kaatje Benninga were married at Westerbork transit camp on 6 October 1942. Louis Cohen, occupation warehouse clerk, was a son of commercial agent David Cohen and the deceased Branca Cohen. David Cohen was the son of Levie David Cohen and Johanna Frankenhuis. In 1918 he got married to Branco Cohen, daughter of Hartog Joseph Cohen and Frouke Meijer. The couple had three children: Louis, Hartog and Johanna. Later David Cohen got married to Matje van Dantzich, daughter of Izak van Dantzich and Saartje Cohen.
