Fritz and Irma Uhlmann had an additional son, Erich Günther, who was born in 1931 and survived Bergen-Belsen Concentration Camp, the only member of his immediate family to survive. He also had a maternal grandfather, the husband of Jenny Wilmersdörfer, Heinrich Sigmund (born 1869). He died in the Hague in 1936. Erich (later Eric) emigrated to the United States in 1946 and was in the US Marines from 1951 to 1953 before he became a US citizen. He died in California in 2009.

Another writer on Joods Monument states that the family lived at Prinzregentenstr. 9 in Nürnberg until 1934, but this is not supported by the 1933 and 1934 Nürnberg address books, which show the family to have lived at at Laufertorgraben 4. Fritz, Irma, Gerhard and Erich lived on the 3rd floor, and Heinrich and Jenny lived on the 2nd floor.
