Margot Pels

Margot Pels is such a distant member of my family that I couldn't even start to describe. But she is certainly descended from a Jewish family of Hamburg whose family tree is lodged with the Leo Baeck Institute. The family tree was prepared prior to 1934.

Margot Pels appears on page 118. (pages have been copied several times to produce better copies but there is about 22 pages of her family tree). Margot is descended from a Jewish family that has graves in the Jewish cemetery dating back to 16 something (as shown on the family tree). Whether she or her parents were practicing Jews is unknown to me.
