Regina Gaenzel and her mother Anna lived at Dragonerstr. 18, 2nd Floor, in Berlin-Mitte prior to emigrating to Holland. Regina was a member of the anti-Nazi resistance youth group around Herbert Baum (see his Wiki entry). Her mother was the seamstress Anna Gaenzel nee Rath, born in 1890 in Kolomea, survived Auschwitz and emigrated to the US in 1951. She died in New York in 1992 at the age of 101. It is probable that Erich Gaenzel was her brother: he was born on 16.02.1915 in Warsaw, lived in Berlin-Tiergarten, and was deported on 28.06.1943 to Auschwitz, where he perished. If anybody has more information on Regina Gaenzel and her family, I would be grateful.
