Verhaal

Was Leonardus Calff the member of the Joodse Raad's Finance Committee mentioned by both Cohen and Presser?

In David Cohen's (Co-Chairman of the Joodse Raad) recollections of the occupation he mentions the case of a member of the Raad's Financial Committee named Calff who was detained in a SiPo razzia on August 9 along with his two sons and one daughter. According to Cohen's account, this gentleman was identified and exempted, but when his children were not also exempted he expressed the desire to stay with his children until they prevailed upon him to go free in order to look after their mother.
That this was Leonardus Calff makes sense considering the September dates of death for the two sons and daughter and the much later dates for Leonardus and his wife (although March 1943 is a confusing date of death for Leonardus considering the fact that the exemptions of Council members did not begin to be revoked until May 1943).
I'd be grateful for any light anyone can shed on this.
