Mozes Polak and his family

The mayor of Diepenheim requested that Mozes Polak and his wife Bernardina Wimpfheimer, residents of Diepenheim, be located, detained and brought to trial. They were suspected of having changed their place of residence without the required authorization. This description referred to Jews who had gone into hiding.

From the international Tracing Service (ITS) there is a document (2939/1943 Secondary death book of the civil registry office Auschwitz) stating that Gerhard Alexander Polak died on january 20th 1943.

By establishing the date of death of Gerhard Alexander Polak the official date is maintained as stated after the war by the Dutch Department of Justice.
