Jacob Polak werd op 25 juni 1941 opgepakt. Hij komt voor op de erelijst van de CPN. Deze werd na de oorlog samengesteld voor een gedenkboek. Helaas is dat boek er nooit gekomen, maar de documenten op basis waarvan hij op de lijst is terechtgekomen bevinden zich in het archief van de CPN op het IISG (inventarisnummer 146).
