The funeral records at the Jewish cemetery in Arnhem reveal that a memorial stone is placed for Mozes Richard Hakker.

De naam van Mozes Richard Hakkert komt voor op een lijst met namen van gevangenen in kamp Gurs onder no. 314. Daarop wordt hij Max genoemd.

Mozes Richard Hakker was the son of Philip Jacob Hakker(t) and Elizabeth Knap. Together with his family and his future son-in-law, Andries Davids, he tried to escape to Switzerland. With the help of a guild they passed the Dutch-Belgian border, aswell as the Belgian-French border.
