About Louis de Leeuwe

Louis de Leeuwe was a son of Barend de Leeuwe and Sientje van Minden. He married Gezina de Jong from Assen on 2 October 1935 in Rotterdam, a daughter of Bernhard de Jong en Rachel de Levie.  The couple had four children, who all have been killed during the Shoah in Sobibor, together with their mother.

Louis de Leeuwe was a factory worker and lived with his family at 1e Looiersdwarsstraat 3 hs in Amsterdam and since 20 September 1941 in at Landzichtlaan 17 in Rotterdam Overschie. However his registration card of the Jewish Council shows his address as J. van Essenstraat 5 bis in Utrecht (which should be Justus van Effenstraat). Furthermore, there has been made a note on his card that according list R1160, Louis de Leeuwe has "died" in Camp Oud Leusden (Amersfoort) on 23 October 1942.
