About Dora Brüll-Lauinger

Born in Fürth, Germany on 5 April 1905 as Dora Sofie Brüll.

Emigrated from Germany on 28 April 1939 and joined her partner Max Lauinger in Amsterdam.

Dora and Max were married on 3 May 1939 at Amsterdam (former) City Hall.

Folowing the "Razzia"(round-ups) on June 20 1943- Both were sent to Westerbork Lager, The Netherlands.

Later on, both were deported to Bergen Belsen concentration camp, Germany on 11 January 1944.

Max passed away in Bergen Belsen camp on the night between 11 and 12 April 1945 and was buried in B.B.(Sources: Red Cross, Dora's official statement)

Dora Survived Bergen Belsen.

According to Red Cross documents Dora was Evacuated from Bergen Belsen on 13 April 1945 and was set free on 23 April 1945 in the German town of Troebitz.

Emigrated to United States and settled in New York till her passing away on December 12, 1997 at the age of 92.
