Siegfried Paul Daniel May (also called Paul) was a partner of Lippmann, Rosenthal & Co. bank at the Nieuwe Spiegelstraat in Amsterdam (not to be confused with the German looting bank at the Sarphatistraat that used the same name, abbreviated Liro bank). He got married on 29 June 1897 in Amsterdam to Rosine Mariane Fuld. They settled in Zeist, where they lived at a country seat, De Breul. Shortly after the German invasion, they both took their own lives under pressure of the circumstances.
