About Siegfried Weissman

Siegfied Weissmann came to the Netherlands on 14 May 1936. His father, Simon Weissmann, had than already died. His mother Channa Rieter Spielmann, born in Kolboschowa, lived in Leipzig.

On 4 May 1932, the association 'Ezer Jatom' opened a Jewish orphanage in the Pletterijstraat 66 in The Hague. On 6 March 1943, the Nazis rounded up the children and staff from the orphanage. Among them were many young German refugees, like Siegfried Weissmann.
