Caroline Bernard, a daughter of Ephraim Bernard and Frouke van Hessen, married 13 October 1902 in Assen to Salomon Hoogstraal, a son of Hartog Hoogstraal and Geertje Nieweg.
Her sister Esther was married to Gaim Leib Markus, who deceased in 1915.
