Rosa Hertzdahl was a daughter of Jozef Hertzdahl and Julia Bier. She was married to Simon David Beem. The couple had four children: Hermina Juliana, Juliana Hermina, Jozef David and David Jozef.
Since 1929 Rosa Beem-Hertzdahl became depressed. She was hospitalized at the Apeldoornse bos. Her children were placed at different addresses.
